The sites usually have filter tools for you to see which jobs are home based. Again, some of the scams are already attempting to penetrate reliable head hunter or recruiting companies.

While there are some scams, you can find a legitimate home employment directory. Is the site free or do you have to pay? Most of the time, if they ask for a fee, chances are, it’s a scam. If they require subscription fees, ask yourself if the amount is reasonable. If not, consider it a scam. Remember, once you pay for the fee, it is not an assurance of a job waiting for you. You still have to browse through the list of available jobs. And if that’s a scam, then those listings are probably scams too. Now take note that most legitimate home employment directory sites provide free trials or free memberships just to show you that their listings are legitimate. That way, you’ll be assured that when you pay, you get to see more listings and more information on how to apply for that job.
